About DSS files
What can I convert a DSS file to?
MP3, AAC, M4A, WAV, FLAC, OGG, OPUS, WMA, AC3, MKA, CAF, AIFF, M4B, M4R, AU, VOC, and WEBA — 17 formats in all.
What can I turn into a DSS?
Nothing. No engine of ours writes DSS, so it is a format we read rather than produce.
Is DSS lossy?
Yes. Writing a DSS discards detail to make the file smaller, and no later conversion can put it back.
