Yes. Both formats store the data exactly, so converting back gives you the same content again.
What can I change about the PNG it produces?
You can set the quality, how long to spend, whether to keep EXIF, the width and height, and whether to enlarge. Anything left on Auto is decided by the encoder, which is usually the right answer unless you are targeting a specific size or device.

Is there a limit on file size?
